Agam ("the app") is an iPhone app made by Kekayan Nanthakumar. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. In short: your logs and conversations are stored on your iPhone. The developer runs no servers that receive them. When you talk with Agam or send a meal photo, that request goes to OpenAI through your own ChatGPT plan so a reply can be written. There is no advertising or tracking.

Data stored on your device

Meals, moods, episodes (symptoms), conversations, the things Agam remembers, your first name and your settings are stored locally on your iPhone. You can see and delete memories in the app. Deleting the app deletes this data.

ChatGPT and OpenAI

Talking with Agam and reading meal photos use ChatGPT. You sign in with your own ChatGPT account; Agam does not create an account for you and does not see your password. The sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.

Apple Health

With your permission, Agam reads steps, sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, mindful minutes and time in daylight, and writes mood logs and mindful sessions when you confirm them. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing, is not sold, and is not stored in iCloud by the app. Only the values a reply needs are included in a request to OpenAI, as described above.

Calendar and Reminders

If you allow it, Agam reads and creates calendar events and reminders when you ask it to. Details of the events involved may be included in the request to OpenAI for that reply.

Camera, microphone and speech

The camera is used to photograph meals. The microphone and Apple's speech recognition turn voice logs into text on your device; recordings are never saved or uploaded.

Crash reports

The app uses Sentry to receive crash reports, which contain technical information such as device model, OS version and the stack trace. They are not linked to your identity and do not include your logs or conversations.

Not medical advice

Agam offers reflection, not diagnosis or treatment. In a crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
